I have had an MJ since June 2008. I raved about it to my friends. It has ALWAYS worked GREAT until under 2 weeks ago.
My MJ software automatically downloaded an "upgrade" just over a week ago. Ever since then, whenever I make a phone call on it, or receive a call on it, immediately after disconnecting a call my XP spits up and the MJ software turns off.
MJ customer service on live chats has NEVER been good. But after spending OVER 3 hours on a live chat with 4 different MJ support people, the problem STILL has not been solved.
I am sick and tired of having to restart the MJ software every time I make or receive a call. They have had me run MAGICFIX and some Microsoft Fix, had me degrade the software (down load a previous version), all to no avail.
I am sick of the rotten customer support from personnel that assume every customer is an IDIOT! Also, when going from one chat agent to another, I ASK them to read the previous session so I don't have to jump through the same hoops all over again with the new agent, they say they read it, then ask me DUMB questions that prove they haven't read a thing.
If this company wants to expand it's customer base they need to get a higher quality of support personnel and STOP treating all their customers like idiots. |

Have you removed MJ from system and started from scratch. They have a download on their site that will do it all automatically. Good luck |

It can be frustrating when the MJ starts acting up, but with some effort, the problems can be overcome.
I haven't had the "pleasure" of using MJ's support "service" as of yet and have no intention of ever, ever putting myself through that. I'm sure that only added to your frustration.
All of my problems have been quickly solved by asking the good people here on this free and unofficial forum for help. I'm sure the average users and tinkerers here can help you too.
As sabresfan pointed out, starting over might be a good place to start.
I haven't gone that route yet, but reading up on it gives me the impression that you'll need to format your MJ after running the removal batch file from the official site. Personally, I'd use Revo uninstaller to wipe the traces out, reformat it, unplug and wait, then plug it back in.
A total power cycle would be a good idea during all of that. If the problems persist, I'd then do the downgrade and start looking into blocking proxies and such. A search on these forums can bring up a lot of other useful tips.
It might sound like a lot, but all of the above can be done in less than one day.
Personally, I would kick the whole round of items above off with two shots of Canadian Whiskey or Scotch. That's just me though. |
