Lately the answering machine I have set up for my majicJack is answering when no-one is calling. It'll play my greeting, after which I'll hear the buzz of an empty line for approximately 4-5 seconds. If it happens when I'm using the computer I will lose focus on the program I'm currently using, such as my browser. This just happned, in fact, and I had to click on this page just to continue typing. I've simply turned off my answering machine for now, letting MJ's voicemail tell people my alternate phone number, but I'd like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Thank you all in advance!
PS: My answering machine is an AT&T 1739. |

| Well, I updated the softphone (ugh...) and the problem seems to have resolved itself, for now at least. |
