Hi guys.
I have 2 phone jacks in my apartment, one in the bedroom (near my computer) and one in the kitchen. I don't currently have land-line service so these jacks don't work.
However, I was wondering if I plug Magic Jack into the wall, will it power all the jacks in the house? If not, how would I go about doing something like this (I only plan on using the one in the kitchen!)
Thanks.
Can I make MagicJack work throughout my apartment?

That should work because you'll be making a backward feed between the device and the jack itself. I've considered doing the same thing once we get out of our apartment into a house we're buying so I can have Magic Jack throughout the house and leave my voip phone tethered to its box.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.
There is a nice article on how to do this here: http://www.mi-telecom.org/distribute.html or http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/20/how-to-wiring-voip-to-your-phone-jacks/Jamina1 wrote:Blowing up??laserjobs wrote:YOUR PHONELINE HAS TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE DEMARK BOX IN YOUR APARTMENT BUILDING FIRST
Otherwise you run the risk of blowing up your magicjack and even your computer
Literally? How so?!
