I can receive calls but when I dial out.. The ringing tone sounds for a few times then changes to a fast busy signal and the number I called in fact did not ring. I tested this by calling my own land line from my majicjack.Yesterday it was working intermittently. Any help out there would be appreciated..Thanks so much |

There seems to be a server-side problem routing calls to anywhere in Canada. I observed your symptom calling Toronto as well as Calgary. From here, calls to US and toll-free numbers are working. If you see the same, there is probably nothing you can do at your end -- you'll just have to wait for MJ to fix it. |

You know what, I'm having the same issue. I can call US numbers and some Canadian cell numbers, but not Canadian landlines (CLL). Worse yet, I call a CLL and it pretends to ring through the softphone, but it isn't actually calling the number. I've been trying to call my landline and it never rings, but meanwhile the softphone is ringing away. I get in 8-10 rings and then it just hangs up. Sometimes it connects if I dial a 1 + area code + number (don't quote that as a fix, since it is intermittent), sometimes it doesn't. Very frustrating! As Stewart said, this is likely a routing error on their part. That is very disappointing though, since I just cracked this thing open today and had such high hopes. |

Thanks for the above reinforcement I am sure that MJ Tech and product Managers monitor this forum much like any manufacturer with product that requires tweaking. So if you have this problem calling Canadian numbers yourself, may I suggest that you post it here yourself. The "squeaky wheel gets the grease" etc.
Thanks for the help |

It looks like they fixed the issue. I can now call Canadian lines without a problem.
sweenie: I'll keep that in mind. Next time (hopefully there won't be), I'll contact MJ support to tell them the issue directly. I just didn't want to last night because I've been studying for exams. Though I will post here too so people know they aren't alone. |

Monday, April 21 (2008) in the AM I could successfully call (outgoing) Canadian numbers. In the PM I get the exact same problem sourpants described. I can call U.S. numbers, but not Canadian landlines or mobiles (e.g. in Toronto). It rings 8 to 10 times and the ringback signal is broken up (never used to be). This worked very well up until now. |

Thanks Stewart for the link. I just chatted with MJ and they indicated, "Yes we are aware of that. We are doing some upgrades, our engineers are working to get them completed as fast as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience." So for now, there is not much one can do at the moment. |
