I am yet to buy the MJ, but have decided for it. Just hanging onto a last few questions:

1. As I understand, the MJ is essentilly a SIP device.

Ami I right?

Or does it use some kind of propietory protocol like SkyPe does?

2. There are a lot of programs online that allow to call a SIP identifier.

Can I call a MJ number (or its SIP ID) *from* such a service?

This means, I believe, that I know the SIP ID of MJ and that one call call out to that ID

(I am not asking if I can makie SIP calls from MJ)

3. I would like to use the SAME MJ across two countries.

I can assure that the MJ will NOT be used simultaneously, but I need to know if someone has done it.

As far as I can see, the MJ has some unique numbers/identifiers embedded in it (maybe the PID/UID of the MJ USB device itself?)

The MJ software reads this information from the hardware.

If I can somehow detour the MJ software to read from something other than the hardware (by writing custom device drivers that makes the MJ software *think" it is reading from the hardware while its not), then the MJ software should run without the MJ USB device.

Does this seem like a workable idea?

Are people willing to help me out on this?

I can also pitch in and help on other MJ reverse engineering efforts too.

There are some software that allow you to "spy" on what data is being exchanged between the computer an an USB device. (Google for USB Monitor etc - I am trying out a few)

Are people willing to help me out on this?
