|
|
Well, I just received my MJ and have the latest 1.90.521.2 update and I am able to, with my Mac, use The Cheat to dump the memory of your MJ to get my credentials.
So now that I've obtained the proxy, password and username, I tried inputting it into a SIP program. It doesn't seem to want to work. It either says Credentials incorrect or i've Exceeded the number of "Stale Retries". Any help here?
Is the password on 1.90.521.2 encrypted? How long are your passwords? Both my MJ's shows a 20 character alpha numeric password.
Any assistance? |

Before you worry about that, did you input the User-Agent field? MJ wants that too in order to register.
So you need:
Userid
Password
Proxy address and port
User-Agent string
I really don't get it...whether a user has an ATA or the MJ device doesn't really matter, the service works the same way. Why make it so hard to use an ATA?
Not that it matters to me as much as MJ has never worked great for me. I've since gone with a local VoIP provider and have a local phone number and the voice quality is much improved.

@bfksc The quality issue could be because we're in Canada and we have to bounce off US proxies.
Regarding the user agent. I haven't found an SIP program that supports user agents for my Mac. Which one do you guys recommend for Windows?
I'm also trying to get it to run on my iPhone through Siphon with no luck.
I might have to settle with a thin client if I can't get my SIP credentials to work. |

VaHam is giving you very succinct and pertinent advice that is worthy of repeating:
"Do a search here for info on MJMDM5 proxy options."
