Hi I had a friend order Magic Jack and he has been having problems. He is using a 928 - Sedona Magic Jack phone number assigned to him. He said he can't receive calls. I have called his number using the 1-928 and the number and 928 and the number and it goes directly to voice mail... When the voice mail answers it says the phone number and adds an 01 to it...example 928-239-XXXX01 I have never heard of this before... Anyone have a fix for this... Thanks in advanced |

I have the same thing happening here. I suspect it's normal. My guess is that there may one day be, or there was once, an option for multiple voice mailboxes on the same line. I'd be very interested to hear if this weren't normal.

Last night I tried to call my Magic number from my regular home phone (Qwest) and my Magic Jack wouldn't even go to voice mail. This morning my Magic Jack would ring 4 to 5 times then go to blank air. I finally dialed my Magic Jack number and finally got the voice mail to pick up and it did read my Magic Jack phone number plus the 01 behind it so now I'm thinking this is a normal part of Magic Jack and my friends Magic Jack might just have a bad telephone.... At least I can not worry about the 01 now as being a possible problem.... |

For some reason the default voicemail greeting says that you are an extension and adds "01" to the end of your number, it's weird but normal for all magicjacks. You can just change the greeting if you don't like it.
That has nothing to do with the reason all your calls are going directly to voicemail. |
