odd i just bought one and it appears two of the lines work but only one doesnt
before people respond i should probably post more detail
i am trying to hook up a fax, a phone sensor security device and a land line phone so the wireless base station thing isnt a fix for me i just need one land line phone
im using three different devices so i really do need a 3 way splitter to in fact work
so is there a problem with getting 3 way splitters to work with the magic jack?? |

There are two kinds of 3 way splitter. The simpler one, and what you want, splits incoming line 1 into 3 jacks that are all line 1. The more complex one feeds both line 1 and line 2 through to one of the jacks, feeds line one to one of the other jacks, and line 2 to the third jack. With one of these connected to MagicJack, two of the jacks would have line 1 and the third jack would be dead. Look at the 3 way jack. If it's the latter type, it will have the three jacks labeled as Line 1, Line 2, Line 1/2. |

I've never seen either one of those.
The one that you want has no labeling at all.
The Radio Shack Catalog #: 279-435 is what you want. |

Hmm... not to flame but the one 'bad' review it received on the Radio Shack site seemed to be a very specialized case where the size of the adapter made a difference. Maybe it's me?
I offer this opinion as I too am looking for a splitter and this RS splitter seems to be the solution to my needs. Time will only tell;-) |

Try a dollar store? They often have household odds and ends including splitters for cheap. This assuming you are in Canada or the US, can't tell where you are located. |
