well, mj is at it again ..... today (12/31/2009) , i have been experiencing a 30 minute talk time limit before the line hangs up .......
this is the fourth time i've seen this ...... i complain and they reset the limit (for some time it's been 2 hours)
the strange thing about it is that the mj support people try to make you "jump through the hoops" by insisting that you perform a series of "trouble shooting" / "setup" procedures ...... (we all know these by now....)
mj just will not admit that they are having bandwidth issues and are clamping down on talk time !
how many are having the same problem ?? |

When you say "restart" the MagicJack, do you mean restarting it should "fix" the 30 minute limit or do you mean after being 'cut off' to restart and talk another 30 mins?
I'm glad to see this post about that. It's like you never know; is the problem on my end, the other party's end, MagicJack's servers, or what? Regardless, my calls have been "disconnected" back to a dial tone at exactly 30 minutes for the past two days. If I wait about 5 minutes I can call back but not immediately; the call just doesn't go through. |

Remove the jack and plug it back in. This will reconfigure the jack and resolve the 30 minute limit problem |

Thanks, noodler2!
I'll try that after I get back home. My MJ started hanging up after about 30 minutes a week or so ago.
I haven't had any unresolved problems in many months and figured it was because I extended my service. (There have been a lot of complaints from those who extend service beyond the first year, especially those who extend for 5+ years. I was happy that I only extended for 1 year.)
If restarting fixes it, I might extend it again next year. One year at a time, since I don't trust the company. |
