Wow, I can't believe how well this works.

Setup took 30 seconds and then I was making calls! Call quality is about as good as any other phone. My computer is about 4-5 years old, running windows XP. Every call goes through. The little application popping up all of the time is a little annoying, but I don't get THAT many calls so it's not a problem (yet).

I actually use linux full time and wish this were supported in linux.

This is really amazing. I am thinking about trying their international calling plan too.

Yeah, MagicJack is awesome! I've only had it a few days and love it.

Regarding International calls, I know this post is late but just wanted to let you know. I call Colombia and the rate with MJ is 0.05 which is 5 cents. Using a Calling Card I buy in the street, and using MJ to call out, the call cost 0.03, 3 cents.

So, I think its cheaper using calling cards, but it all depends on where you're calling too.

I have had magic jack for a few days now and the call quality is good and I will be getting rid of vonage for sure. Also just as a side not for the first comment on here there is a great program on download.com called "magicblock" that I downloaded and it stop the magicjack thing from popping up so you might want to get that.

My wife is from Germany and we use the international calling plan thru MJ to call her family and at .02 cents a min its a steal, we love it and the calls are crystal clear. Very Happy

why not use www.localphone.com. they have cheaper long distance international rates. to germany is 1.2 cents

their rates are cheaper a lot of places
