I just bought the MagicJack and am liking it so far. However, is there a way I can change the info that comes up on another persons caller id when I call them? Right now it comes up as my state. I'd like it to come up with my business name. Thanks! |

Have you read through the previous postings on this forum? Do you remember reading the ones that say why this is not possible?
The Search button is your friend. If you don't have the patience to peruse the thread topics before creating a new thread, at least you can find your answer by reading the threads that come up in your search results. |

My phrasing exactly. I had people jump in my crap when I said OVER and over again, search is your friend. Nice to see someone else getting annoyed as I was when people DONT TAKE A FEW MIN TO SEARCH!! For one you get your answer RIGHT AWAY..
Oh well I am sure it falls on deaf ears. thank you again for feeling the same as I do. I got tired of saying it over an over..

With do respect to some folks; the search is not all that perfect. For some newcomers it can be daunting.
There is one way which we can all make it better however. That is by making use of the "Subject" when posting or replying to posts. The search engine does a much better job if the "subjects" are reflective of the content of our posts. |

True, VaHam, but some don't even try to find it, They just create the question and start the Thread.. |

Thank you VaHam. I'm a regular forum user (different forum of course) and hate when people don't search first. However, I probably spent 20 minutes searching. I found how people wanted to "ghost" their number, making it appear something else, but this is not what I want to do. When I call someone it comes up with my state. I would like to change that so if comes up with my business name.
But to everyone else, thanks for all criticism right off the start.. |

Personally, I wouldn't dream of posting on a forum I am new to (like this one) until I had read through all of the subjects for the previous six months and had read through all of the threads for the previous two months (plus, of course, those older subjects that caught my eye). By exercising this courtesy, I have only needed to create a new thread on a BBS or forum about 6 times in the last 20 years. |
