It loads beautifully, and up pops a replace a magicjack screen. I enter my email and password and press next, and then it ask me to select the name of the magicjack that I would like to replace. It list only 1(14 digit alpha-numeric), my old magicjack name and I select it. Clicking next, it then pops up the following error: value too large for column "YMAX"."RSUBSCRIBER"."DEVICENAME" (actual: 38, maximum: 20)

it then only has a Back button which takes me back to the login screen. I have chatted twice so far today with tech support and both times I got told they would have to forward this on to the engineers and they would contact me back by email on it. Based on the fact that they have never, ever contacted me back after saying that they would do so, I doubt I will get anything.

Since you can manually change your magicjack name online, I got the name of the new magicjack and did that. However, the Replace a Magicjack screen continues to come up asking for a login, and the only difference in what I listed above is that now it list my new magicjack name as the only selection.

Any ideas?

Well, I chatted another time and this time the helper did several more things as well as trying to manually activate the MJ from his end. Finally he also submitted it to the engineers with not estimated time of completion. I left for a few hours, came back, restarted it, and it went through. It works great! So issue resolved, but I don't know how yet. The email promised at completion has not come through yet.

Before I started having trouble, my first Magicjack was pretty good once I got the volume adjusted. But it did get really bad before it started dropping calls. This new MJ does seems to load faster and it also does sound a little clearer. I am still playing with the volume, but no random static with it at the current level and callers noted that I sounded better than usual. It will take a few days to get it right probably, but it does seem a good improvement.
