I have been through the registration process (several times) and have waited several days for the green light to come on but it never did. The MJ chat tech suggested entering a different address... I did but now MJ will not dial out. MJ chat tech has been no help in resolving the problem.

GreenMonkey,

As I remember mine took several days to come up green and that does not include weekend. No Emergencies on weekend. Very Happy

But I don't think changing your 911 address has anything to doe with not being able to dial out. Have you tried rebooting or just us the restart in the MJ menu.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have tried all of those things, and many more...even the "probably has nothing to do with the problem" things. I had been told on several occasions that I just needed to wait longer... I've waited over a week.
After I changed the address, the light turned green in a day or three, but when I called 911 it never rang out( that I could hear) but after waiting to hear it ring for several seconds and then hanging up, I got a call from the 911 call center at the new address, saying they had received a hang up call from my phone number. I have now changed the address back to my actual location and am waiting for the light to turn green.
I have wondered if perhaps, because I'm in a remote location, they may not have a address sensitive 911 system in place. I'll wait a day or two and if it doesn't turn green, I'll call the ems folks and ask them...
I'm through with MJ chat NON-support.

Most of the time you can find your correctly formatted E911 address by using the postal service lookup at http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp . After typing in what you think you address should be, hit submit, on the next page your correctly formatted address will be listed under "full address in standard format".

Thank you. I did as you suggested and the USPS site came back with the statement:

We're sorry! We were unable to process your request.

The address was not found. Please check the address below.

rgoldsmith36,

Was the address below anything close to what it should be or what you think it should be.?

@ ChuckIL,
Thanks for that link. I have book marked that one, it could be very handy in a lot of situations. And when I had to enter my 911 for MJ I had a hell of a time coming up with something it would accept. The final address that it would accept wad my address with the street name "East" not "E." the way it is on the street sign.
