It kills me that I have not been able to figure this out myself. I am running MJProxy under DD-WRT on my WRT54g. I have extracted my SIP credentials from MJ and verified them with successful inbound and outbound calls via X-Lite.
I have an old unlocked DTA310 from my Packet8 days that I had hoped to setup with MagicJack. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure it out and I've tried everything I can think of. I'm beginning to wonder if it is even possible with this device.
Has anyone out there had any luck connecting with MJ credentials using the DTA310? If so, could you give me a few pointers? All I ever get is a fast busy which I believe to tell me that the ATA is unable to connect to the SIP server. I've even moved the hardware to the DMZ. As I mentioned, X-Lite has no problems what-so-ever. I'm begging here. Thanks! |

Do you know if this ATA can accommodate Username with the letter "E"? Check your voice log (during boot up phase) to see if the username (or it's equivalent) substitutes a "*" for "E". Otherwise, can you post your SIP/Voice setup pages? |

Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to check the voice log but given your general direction, I have to agree that the "*" in place of the "E" is likely my problem.
To that end, I am going to try my luck at setting up Asterisk. It is my understanding that I can use it to handle the authentication and make my DTA310 an extension off of it. We shall see. Thank you for your time! |

I have had everything setup with Asterisk the past few days and it works like a charm! |
