every time I turn my computer back on, my magic jack plus is only working via headset or through my computer's microphone and speakers but NOT my telephone. in fact, my telephone doesn't have a dial tone so it isn't a volume issue (which I already checked are both at their max)
I have to keep unplugging the magic jack for it to reboot for my telephone to work.
suggestions appreciated!
ps- this does not happen with my Magic Jack which I have used for years...only with the PLUS which I just bought |

If you're trying to use your mJ+ in a hotel or cafe with just a headset mic on your computer, use these directions.
If you're trying to make the phone ring instead of the headset, reverse the directions from the link above.
If the phone doesn't ring regardless, check the REN (Ringer Equivalency Number) on the back of your phone - especially if it's an old phone. If you have too high a total REN, then phones don't ring because the mJ+ can't provide enough power for old-fashioned bells and buzzers. |
