Hello all:
I know this topic has been dealt with in a separate thread; however, my problem is a little different...
I'm having a beast of a time with magicJack's support. Intermittently since last week, incoming calls are getting the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again...". Now, I KNOW my number is working at least partially, as sometimes people are able to get through, but other times, not. I've been using a Linksys E1000 router for quite some time now (doesn't work that well) but I've never had problems like this, where people would get a message saying my phone number is invalid. Calls do not go to voicemail, but come up as invalid number.
FYI, I had the same problem with a regular magicjack I was using last week. The call would not even route to voicemail.
I'm going to try a netgear router instead, but meanwhile: Anyone else having this problem?? Any idea what could be causing this problem??? |

You can call out.
Sometimes people can't call in and get the above message.
Here are some ideas to follow up on: - What kind of bandwidth does your ISP provide you? If it's very slow, that may be a problem.
- Do you live in a rural area with an area code blocked by magicJack?
- Is port-forwarding enabled on your router?
- Have you checked your settings on the phone numbers tab on the mJ website to make sure your phone number is properly assigned to your magicJack device?
