OK...found my first problem with the MJ. It is producing a very low humming sound, but not until after I press the first number. If I just pick up the phone and listen to the dialtone, it is fine. As soon as I press any numbr, I get the hum. It is not so loud that it disrupts the call...but I know it is there and it bothers me.

I was able to make it go away by simply wrapping my hand around teh MJ. The tighter I held it, the more it went away...until I could not hear it at all anymore. To me this sounds like the MJ may need some sort of shielding. Or, could just be poor design and something inside is too close or touching the casing. I think I am going to try and wrap the entire unit in electrical tape to see what that does.

Has anybody else experienced this?

OK...ignore this post. I should have tried this first. I was using an old corded phone for purposes of testing the MJ so I didn't have to take my Vonage phone offline (quality cordless phones). I unplugged the corded phone from teh MJ and plugged in my cordless. No more hum! Smile

That could be a "ground hum." When something isn't adequately grounded it can produce a hum. It can cause voltage to take unusual paths, causing a 60hz hum. I'd be concerned that something isn't properly grounded in your computer, or (more importantly) the electrical outlet your computer is plugged into. Or, (even more importantly), your whole-house wiring.
