|
|
Here's my situation.
I have an original Majic Jack. I purchased MJ+ and registered it with my existing home #.
My business partner has a magic jack registered with our novelty number. We want to clone my old magic jack to this business line.
I have contacted support and they are not able to port the account. I knew there had to be a way.. after some searching I found info about rebuild_mj.exe, however I have not been able to find a download location.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Was given an old MJ. Original owner long gone, service expired. Wanted to try a rebuild_mj flash for a new number, but guess what.. someone has been very good at wiping all traces of this file from the interwebs.. All gone.
Any solutions? |

You can use it as it is with Google Voice by downloading and installing the GVJack App.
See the "For Sale" section of this forum for more information. It is a one time purchase and you can download and try it out free for a few days first for your peace of mind. |

Its 5.2M, and winrar wont open it, which is odd, as wnrar opens most .7Z. Also the 1st version was a meg and a half.
Any one get this yet? |

I was unable to find it also, I would really like a copy of this. I want to try something with my units but I need to change the damn serial numbers... |

Well I think its safe to say that the book is closed on this one. Tried to poke around with this one. Seems that while you can still change the SN with this tool it looks like they are using a known list now a days. So custom SN's are still valid but I either get "this magicjack is registered" or "buy a new magicjack this one has expired" I think that this is the default message for not a valid SN |

Hmm, but can I change the SN to the same as another working one and have two with the same number?
Can I change the SN to the same as my MJ+ SN and have a MJ for when I travel?
Just random thoughts. |

You can only have the same phone number on 2 devices if they're both registered under the same account. You can still use both of the devices regardless if they have the same phone numbers. So, you can bring and use the regular MJ when you travel. |
