Idea If you are having problems with the magic jack updates and keep getting disconnected when you are using your magic jack or you get the warning sign that you did not properly disconnect your magic jack and got nowhere through their tech support, here is what i did to solve the problem, after wasting a lot of time with Magic Jack Tech support:
first of all I made sure that the Magic Jack was not broken and was working fine, so I tested it on a Windows PC and it was working fine so it was an issue using it on the Mac.
I decided to use DiskWarrior (Version4) since it's in my opinion the best utility there is for the Mac.
Insert your DiskWarrior (bootable disk) into the Mac go to System Preferences and click on Startup Disk and select the DiskWarrior Icon and click Restart this process may take a few minutes.
Once you get the screen select the Mac(main harddrive) disk from the pop up menu and click on Rebuild to rebuild the directory.
Once the directory is Rebuilt click on the Replace button and that is all you need to do it will tell you that it the directory was successfully rebuilt.
Restart the computer and hold the eject button to eject the bootable disk so it can start from the main hard drive this time.
I hope this can help you solve your problems
Wink
