My antivirus program (AVG) has recently begun to identify Magic Beans as a virus and removes it each morning during its scans. This began to happen after I installed AutoIt to run an area code script.
I have excluded the MagicBeans directory from scanning to stop this from happening, but am curious if anyone else has had this occur. |

The reason AVG is flagging magicbeans has nothing to do with a virus. AVG is generating a false positive due to the compresion methodology employed by magicbeans and does not relate to any content in the program.
You can safely ignore this over-aggressive behavior, which is not unique to AVG, in recognizing packing algorithms that are frequently associated with virii. |
