Has anyone had success with using WiFi internet with Magic Jack?
I am trying but it seems that I get word dropouts/distortions from
time to time.I thought that might be due to Wifi Latency.
My WiFi internet usually gets about 2 megabits per sec download and
500K bits per second upload.
I am thinking about switching to DSL internet.

I've been using WiFi for mine for almost a year with no problems. I have cable internet, 10mb download speed. And my MJ computer is within 30 feet of the router. |

The short answer is it works for some computers but not others. I have a thin client I use for MJ which was originally set up for wifi. Worked great for a while then it didn't work. Tried another computer with the same router and the MJ is fine.
At hotels, wifi is really iffy. It seems to depend on how many other people are accessing the router. I was at one hotel and the MJ was useless at night, but in the morning it was fine. |

I tried my MJ on Wifi on a computer running Windows 7, and I didn't have any problems. I have 2 MBPS Download and 500kbps upload speed. However, My MJ is on a hardwired computer running Windows XP SP3.
