While installing magic jack i am running into an error - the Drive with majick jack letter pops open up and a folder for majickjack is seen in there......and i get an error message " target directory not specified"....and then nothing happenes.......it does not install...
Any pointer to resolve?

That reminds me - i am also planning to use this for a vista laptop later on - will the resolution be any different? |

With XP. First try a different port and be sure to have the computer up and running before you plugin the magicjack. If you receive the same response then do you have any of the CD/DVD creating software installed? They will have these "helper" programs that handle the playing of CDs and DVDs. That USB drive, the Magicjack, sometimes is seen as a DVD by these programs. If you have one of these running, turn it off and try again.
If that does not fix it then a trip to the MJ tech support chat Monday is one of the quickest approaches. Unless someone else has seen this and remembers exactly how to fix it. |
