I know it doesn't make any sense, but when I call my cellphone from MJ, the cellphone does not ring. If I have it set to vibrate it will vibrate, but no ring.
I have called from other phones, and the cellphone rings and vibrates.
Any ideas? |

Does your cell phone have a feature to treat calls from certain favored people with their own ring tones? If so, look at the MJ's entry in your cell phone's directory and check the settings for the personalized ring tone. You may find that the "special ring tone" field is empty, which will cause the phone to vibrate and play the empty ring tone at the same time. |

No. don't use special ringtones. Of course, my concern is if it does it to my cellphone is it doing it to others. |

Please reread my advice. I didn't ask if you intentionally use the feature. I asked if you had the feature and had accidentally set it wrong.
There is no way I know of for any cellular carrier to control the ring behavior of a customer's phone remotely as you describe. To behave as you describe, it must be within your cell phone. |

Yes, I do have the feature (didn't realize I had it, so can't figure how I set it) and yes it was set it to No Ring. Thanks for knocking my head into the wall. Sometimes you have to hit me with a 2x4 to get my attention. Thanks for solving the problem. |

No problem. A happy ending is its own reward. Thank you for posting the resolution. |
