I support an organization that wants to go to VOIP from POTS. I have had positive experience going from POTS to MagicJack Go in my home and don't want to reinvent the wheel to a different VOIP technology if I can avoid it.
The org has 3 phone numbers - two voice and one fax. This is what I think I will need: 3 MagicJack Go dongles, one for each of the numbers. Cut the POTS at the demark box. Though it is likely all 3 phone numbers are running through 1 copper circuit, (I have to confirm this), do I plug in each of the dongles into the router/switch then plug them into a 3-way rj-45 splitter/unifier (if you will) which then plugs into a phone wall jack?
Does this sound right? Has anyone done such or a similar task?
The fios connection is 75Mbps up and down.

I've confirmed that there is only one physical phone line (at least going to each phone and fax machine). |
