|
Magicjack has been working fine for several months. Recently it is totally unreliable. I hear the dial tone, make a call, hear the pick up answer, but they cannot hear me. It happens all the time now.
Some call back and still cannot hear me. Yesterday after three attempted call backs, the individual I was trying to call could finally hear me on the 3rd call.
I changed USB ports, but it remains not working.
Any help is appreciated. |

Have you tried using a different telephone? Have you tried calling using only the softphone on the computer screen using a headset or just a microphone and the computer speakers? Have you checked the volume settings under the softphone menu - ensure that the mic volume is up about 1/3 of the way? |

I switched phones, same problem.
I am wondering why it is not working now, but worked perfectly in the past. |

Thanks, I downloaded and installed. I put the old phone back on, played a Youtube song and called my other phone number thru majicjack. It worked one time perfectly, second time did not work at all, third time it worked at the beginning and then cut off and on.
It has to be the phone. Thanks again for your help. |

Very welcome. This downgrade seems to help a lot of problems other than what it was intended to help ( contact list problem).

I am getting that issue on and off as well. From what I can tell here and in the WIKI, it may have to do with overloaded servers. I elevated my MJ priority to HIGH and put in some static routes for the servers I wanted to exclude and for the time being (I think it last used SF) it is working. |
