The darn sw doesn't run reliably on my xp. So dongle is out. Also, I cannot use or renew service unless I can totally disable the voice mail and allow myself 30 rings to get to phone.

I could not get this program to work. Either an exception crash, or it would probe my dvd drive, not H:. Stroth's did same thing.

another lacking feature of mjmd5 is internet detection. My isp frequently goes out. I had to write an ap to restart the isp and restart mjmd5, each time this happens.

Here is a small update for GVOut. I'm not even using it anymore in favor of SIPSorcery. Update adds a dial plan mode.

SS quit working a half a year ago and I have abandoned it. Way too complex and poorly designed since nothing is intelligible, much less works.

That sucks because if you disable recurring charges, like any intelligent cardholder will do, then, these people likely will not be able to renew at all.

Yeah, it's nice to implement my backup system simply by switching ATA to MJMD5 and checking MJ number in GV while sipsorcery is down. PC has to be on but at least the calls are pretty clear this way.

Well, since nothing changed on my end--no software installs etc.--and the problem pops out all the sudden once I buy a new unit activated on account of, and to replace a year old worn out unit. By definition this is a bug in behavior. Add that to fact I had to restart mj every second incoming call ...

My problem is not that I cant register, but it requires each run. With all issues on top.

My solution was to ditch the service in favor of an ata. Or at least the most of it.

The typing support might help. OR you could buy a tee kay 6000 or a pap2t, etc...

As far as I can see, this would require buying a new $100 router, me calling cable company and reinstalling their modem, flashing new router, then telneting into router to install the program. I am not ready to take this route just yet.

Just got this to work1. Only issue I see is magicjack is kicking immediately to voicemail on incoming calls. As if it doesn't see anyone connected to mj. It ring phone but I cannot pickup since going to voicemail. (port 5061 forwarded to 5070)

Just today, every time I plugin or restart magic jack.exe it asks for my username and password before starting. This is annoying and impractical. More mj software hell. I now need to restart software after every incoming call, else garble.

NCH ExpressTalk freeware appears to support only one SIP account, unlike PhonerLite.

I got googlevoiceout to work with nch expresstalk. It doesn't give me the 408 error or the sipstack crash error. The trick is use sipgate.com for server and under advanced use 192.168.0.10 ...

This is not to say anything negative about the developer(s) since the mjmd5 proxy works rock solid with any brand ATA and any brand softphone including xlite.

My primary phone system is now SS/Sipgate/GV which has been solid going on the 4th day now. I would not knock Sipgate's tech support ...

I am getting an annoying clicking noise when calling certain numbers. I pops about every half second without end.

Trying differing phones, same result. Some phone number are crystal clear, while other numbers are consistently constant annoying pops.
