Hi - Same problems here. The MJ softphone just crashes for no apparent reason (though I haven't found anything in my event viewer to indicate the crash). I'm on Vista Home Prem.

I can't say exactly when this problem started, but late January is about right. Must be the MJ Upgrade.

I first tried ...

I've notice the same thing recently. I've found that if I restart MagicJack (from the Menu->Advanced Users), the problem goes away.

Not sure why its doing that, but it doesn't seem to interfere with my ability to make calls.

It is annoying though.

Hi,

The simple answer to this is: Yes it will work with a screen saver, and no it will not work if the computer is turned off.

NOTE: You must log in after any reboot of the system

(on second thought... it wasn't so simple an answer :-) )

Sorry... but that does not happen on my machine.

The only way I can get to the paypal donation link you refer to is:

The magicblock GUI is open, and has focus and
a) I hit enter,
b) I click on the "donate!" link

Just hittine enter on an empty desktop does not do what you suggest.

I replied to this same post on the Tech Support side.

This does NOT occur on my PC.

Using MJ, Vista, Magicblock v1.2, and IE.

There is a "plea" for donations in the MagicBlock gui, but you have to click on it to get launched to the paypal link.

Just run MagicBlock minimized to the tray.

I have come to the conclusion that all the weirdness I was having with my MagicJack going on hold, not dialing, not waking up after sleep etc., has to do with a known USB power issue in Vista (including SP1).

The problem might be Vista and/or an issue with my new Dell Vostro 200.

Either way, I ...
