As for Canada, we always get screwed. Shaw Cablesystems here in B.C. and Alberta provides their own telephone service under the name Shaw home phone.

It is similar to what some of the big cable companies offer in the USA.

Shaw has their own dedicated network for this service, and freely admits to ...

Update on Canadian numbers

I had an email exchange with Mr. Borilow and Victor from MJ Canada.
This was a very interesting exchange.

For the record, Borislow states that Victor is NOT an authorized reseller of the MJ.

Also, He says that there are no plans to bring Canadian numbers onto the system.

On the other hand, Victor ...

Canadian numbers

Yes, I have my Canadian number. I am in Vancouver. Strange enough, I got a 604 number from them.

The numbers now being offered are the 778 ones.

A few problems. I actually have 2 MJ numbers on the same unit. When I bought the MJ they gave me a California number. My caller ID even with the Canadian ...

RE wireless

I do not normally post a reply to mine own post, but hey, why not. When I was away on the weekend I stayed in a hotel with a Cisco wireless system in all of the rooms.

My MJ worked perfectly, No echoes no nothing, just like a normal phone.

When I use the same setup at home, same laptop, same phone ...

What is the best wireless router for use with Magic Jack

I am about to update my router, as I have an older piece of junk. Does anyone know if a certain brand or quality of router works better with the MJ?

I have heard some rumors that certain ones do work better, or some with certain features work better.

Any answers magic jack gurus??

Still no Canadian exchanges

Boy did my last post cause a few problems. It seems the issue has gone back to the Canadian rep 5 times now, and sources say that the inventor is getting a little upset with this huge delay.

It seems that the Canadian rep wants to make money on this deal too and there is little to make.

Along with ...

Canadian Numbers? Ya right?

My sources still tell me that there is a huge problem bringing Canadian exchanges to the MJ system.

Sources report that the expected fee for those exchanges will be so high that the inventor has had this issue sent back to the Canadian rep for MJ numerous times.

The fee is expected to be about ...

My sources tell me that this is not the case. I have heard that the inventor has a REAL problem with the actual price that the Canadian distributor is planning to charge on an annual basis for Canadian telephone numbers.

So much of a problem in fact that this annual fee, plus the cost of the MJ ...
