MJ on the EeePC!

So I went into BJ's Wholesale Club last night with my wife to buy some gum for her students (she's a teacher) and I decided to peruse the electronics section out of mild curiosity. So what did I stumble across but an Eee PC by ASUS for only $245! Not too shabby at all!

Now I was planning to buy one ...

so, if this rather clever gentleman that lived there DID just remove the box, do you have any tips on finding where it may have been so I could find out where the phone company lines were connected?

so you think it's a voltage problem? I'll try to borrow an ohm meter today from work and see what happens. I appreciate the tip. :)

Yeah, it's strange, when the phone is directly connected to the MagicJack I get full functionality no problem--so I'm sure it has something to do with the crappy ...

I was about to suggest that Norton was your problem and not Vista...

Do you know that they were sued because they stuck a folder on your computer that there is no way of accessing? Hackers kept trying to crack into the folder just to see what was in there--and most of them couldn't do it. Norton is ...

I know that this has been discussed at some point--but I'm relatively new to the forum and I can't seem to find an answer to my problem.

So I'm fairly certain that my exterior phone line to my house is disconnected (mostly because I can't actually find the box--I think the people that lived there ...

I also couldn't get it to work properly with Vista. I followed all the instructions (however, you have slightly different file locations with Vista) and while I got the service running, AND I got a dial-tone, MagicJack wouldn't fully connect.

I couldn't make a call, and I couldn't receive calls ...
