Not sure but I would start by contacting T-Mobile. I know with AT&T the port didn't complete until I talked with someone at AT&T--like they had to do one final thing manually.

I did file an FCC complaint yesterday, as the $30 seems excessive especially since this was my number that I paid to port in.

Sigh. Today, MagicJack dropped an inbound call at 3:55 while the KX-TG6431 was plugged in. (I was actually talking on the softphone, not the cordless phone.)

I'll plug in the KX-TG7431 for a while and see what happens.

Forgot to post that I narrowed this down to the Panasonic KX-TG6431 cordless phone. When I plugged that in directly to the MagicJack Plus, it would drop the call after 4:52. When I unplugged it and only used other devices, no dropped calls. This was several months ago.

Yeah the hang-up delay isn't so bad, but the dialing seem unnecessarily slow. I can probably cut and paste a number faster than 6-7 seconds!

The Application Data directory has moved in Windows 7, and may vary if you are connected to a domain (mine is under "Roaming"). The simplest thing is probably to just use the %appdata% environment variable, which should work in XP or 7:

Went hunting for REN value info and didn't find much. One place says MJ allows 1.0, another says 1.4.

Yes I'm tapped into the wiring at the telco box but not to the dead telco line. I'd already set this up when I had the PBX.

Even with power management disabled, if the phone cord is plugged in, MJ+ drops the call after 3:54. (I answer on the headset.)

If the phone cord is NOT plugged in, the inbound call does not drop.

Thanks for your reply. I'm running a pretty recent version of Tomato with QOS (on a Linksys E2000). I don't quite see how it could be the router if I can make mostly trouble-free outbound calls, but inbound calls drop.

I've often been cut off at 90 minutes, and talked 80+ minutes on 6/8/2011, but today 6/23/2011, MJ cut me off after exactly 60 minutes. I'm in San Diego, just updated to 2.0.8.

mberlant, thanks for your reply. I actually switched from Grandstream to Linksys 3102 for my Asterisk setup. I do see the "Line-In-Use Voltage" setting at the bottom of the PSTN Line tab. It is apparently set to 30 by default.

I have two or three computers on all the time anyway, so that's not my issue.

I see a lot of people asking about setting up an ATA with MJ's SIP account info, then not using a PC at all. The so-called "BYOD" solution. Sounds great, and if it becomes legal, I'll definitely be interested.
