Thanks. Sounds like I need to learn more about the Hangouts app(s). At first search, I don't see a dialer app that runs in my Windows browser (like the Flash dialer in Google Voice).

De-register before sale?
I've got three expired MJs, one original and two Plus. Can I de-register them and sell them so that the buyer can start from scratch (without the free months obviously)? Is there personal info stored on the device itself?

Going away for the weekend, want to forward to my cell phone.
Today I was able to go directly to

and enable forwarding. I have not signed up for a forwarding plan. Maybe that's just a temporary loophole.

Programming hook for dialing MJ Plus?
Hi,
Now using MJ+ as my primary home phone. Mostly I dial from the Windows 7 computer, cutting and pasting numbers into the MJ interface. It would be nice to be able to:
- Highlight a number in a web page, right-click to dial.
- Dial directly from my CRM (GoldMine 6.5).

Even with power management disabled, if the phone cord is plugged in, MJ+ drops the call after 3:54. (I answer on the headset.)

MJ+ repeatedly drops inbound calls at 3:54
Recently purchased a MagicJack Plus and ported my home number to it (San Diego 619). I am using it like a traditional MJ, connected to my computer.
Received two long-distance calls today. Both dropped repeatedly. At least four of the calls dropped after 3 minutes 54 seconds. Looking back in my ...

Port cancelled "due to ISP" - huh?
Just a little rant here. Yesterday I requested a number port. Got a credit card reject screen at the end because I was using my card but my dad's address. Created a new address and re-submitted. It appeared to accept but no confirmation email. Then today I happened to check and saw that the port had ...

Nailgunner,
No, haven't been able to try that yet. I will probably need some sort of converter because the plug coming out of the wall into the little RJ?? box on the alarm is a fatter, DSL style, phone cord connector. I haven't been to Radio Shack to see if they have something like that yet.

Time limit (timeout) reduced to 60 minutes?
I've often been cut off at 90 minutes, and talked 80+ minutes on 6/8/2011, but today 6/23/2011, MJ cut me off after exactly 60 minutes. I'm in San Diego, just updated to 2.0.8.
Anyone else seeing this? Can the timeout be extended?

XP SP3. After installing MJ upgrade, the standard XP screensaver works, but the monitor never goes into power save mode.
I noticed that if I lock the screen, power save does work.

I forgot to mention that on the SPA, near the top of the "PSTN Line" area of the Voice/Info page is a readout of the battery voltage sensed on the line. A real phone line will show -44 to -48VDC when the line is idle and will show about -13 to -18VDC when the line is in use. If you see readings of ...

Anyone using MJ _and_ an ATA connected by a phone cord?
Hi
I see a lot of people asking about setting up an ATA with MJ's SIP account info, then not using a PC at all. The so-called "BYOD" solution. Sounds great, and if it becomes legal, I'll definitely be interested.
In the meantime, I thought this might work and still be within the Terms of Service ...
