Sip passwords not rolling anymore?

I see numerous posts of MJ on Android etc this past week, and some posts of finding "02" and "03" etc on the username and working.
Yet others posting that it's still busted/rolling :-(

Have the passwords stopped rolling on the MJ?

Or is there something new that I missed? I don't see anything ...

I suppose that depends on your point of view, if you plan on keeping your M.J.

They make quite a bit less if you get the 5 year option.

60 months for 70 bucks, tough to beat that.

I took my Magicjack on holidays a couple weeks ago, connected to freebie WiFi at the resort, and calls were kinda crappy, cutting in and out etc.
I toggled the setting (on top left of the softphone) to the AIRCARD setting, the rightmost one - NOT the WiFi setting, and call quality improved 1000 ...

OK : Facts for CANADIAN AREA CODE so far:

You can only get a Canada area code with a NEW MagicJack.

It costs an extra $10 when you register and get a Canada area code.

So far, there is no evidence that it's $10 extra per year...

The "extend by 1 year" is still $19.95

The "5 year license" is ...

Because MJ support chat always tells the truth ;) right?
("engineers are working on it now" "Canadian number available any day now" "you can switch for free as soon as Canadian numbers are available" etc)

Seriously, this thread is all about facts...

If you paid $10 extra on registration, then ...

Well, we are getting somewhere now. :-)

It's been stated it costs an extra $10 when you register for a Canada area code.

So far, there is no evidence that it's $10 extra per year...

Aiancris, I've had a US magicjack for a year and a half...
I know what they cost.

My question was specific, as the subject states,
for the current costs of a Canadian area code.

MJ Canadian Area Code - what did it cost you?

Searching for this info, the posts are varied, and a bit vague...

Did you pay the $40 for the MagicJack, then pay an additional $10 at registration time for the Canadian number?

For additional years, it's $30/yr instead of $20?

For the 5 year option, is that still $69.99?
Or is 5yr even ...

Liar, liar, pants on fire (Canada numbers)

For a year and a half, I have been promised "engineers are working on it. Canada numbers will be available soon" AND "as soon as they are available, you can switch your number for free"

They ARE available now. There is NO way to switch to a Canadian number.

You are supposed to throw out your ...

proxy doesn't work for me.

I added the proxy to DD-WRT, and it runs fine. (thank you for that!)
Using the password which was changed a couple weeks ago, (and double checked tonight) I pointed the PAP2 to the new router proxy, and
now PAP2 syslog debug says "SIP/2.0 401 Unauthorized<013><010>Via: SIP/2.0/UDP " . It doesn't ...

Re: I'll believe it when I see it

I've been checking themagicjack.ca religiously to see when Canadian numbers will be available. Of course, if you've been following that site, you know that the people who run it are quite mysterious and unavailable. Now that they're finally claiming that Canadian numbers are here, why do you have ...
