As an FYI for you all. I recently installed build 7048 of Win7 and MagicJack appears to work out of the box. I get the typical "Please wait for a lifetime of free calls" (or whatever is says) and then the service starts on it's own since going to this version.

I have a fix that you may or may not be aware of...

Some CD/DVD ROM's install high/low filters in your registry, for some reason it will prevent Magic Jack from installing; if you go into your registry and delete these entries your installation will go through. at least if you are having the same ...

Well I'm having the problem "warning, you must plug it in"

After reading a few other topics in here,,,, the one thing I haven't heard bought up was WINDOWS UPDATING....

We all know when certain updates come from microsoft,,, things start going wrong,,,,, case in point is when millions of people ...

I have tried all the steps outlined here and still no joy..

It tells me MagicJack has crashed do to a call to NTDLL.dll call in system32,,,of which win7 won't let me remove or rename because I'm not a trusted installer.

I have full control as a administrator,,, so what the heck is this ...

Not to sure if this is allowed but have you tried using Grand Central and getting a number to use from there, If it will work with MJ that is ?
