If you go to my.magicjack.com and choose to change your number, does it allow you to specify whcih number you want? or just it just randomly assign you one in the area code/exchange that you select?
Thanks,

Re: Good price for an T5730???
$250 seems like a decent price, but its overkill for a NAS. You can easily run FreeNAS on a 5700 or 5710.
My main conideration here was the gigabit. I guess I could just get the expansion module for the 5700 and put the gigabit card in it.
If you have the money to throw around, you could just ...

Good price for an T5730???
Hey guys.
I know a few of you have (and really like) the HP T5730 TC. I am just curious what you consider a good price...or what you have bought them for?
The reason I ask is that I found a local Asset Recovery company that has a few and they want $250 (guaranteed against DOA and 30 day warranty ...

I am curious why I am not seeing this with my D-Link DIR-655. It has a "smart" function (called "Automatic Classification") much like your Airlink. However, when I max out my newsgroups (815K/sec) and initiate a phone call, my newsgroup stream moves only about 5K (810K) and the call gets choppy. I ...

QoS Settings (D-Link DIR-655)
Hi all.
I am now just starting to play with the QoS setting in my rounter (D-Link DIR-655) to give my MJ priority. If someone has already done this (on a similar if not same router), can you look over my settings to see if they look OK?

Humming sound
OK...found my first problem with the MJ. It is producing a very low humming sound, but not until after I press the first number. If I just pick up the phone and listen to the dialtone, it is fine. As soon as I press any numbr, I get the hum. It is not so loud that it disrupts the call...but I know ...

Well...
I just received my MJ about 30 minutes ago. For the time being, I am running it on an IBM T42 laptop that I borrowed from work (WINXP SP3 with all current patches). Eventually, the MJ will be moved to a HP T5700 Thin Client (still on its way).
