If you go to my.magicjack.com and choose to change your number, does it allow you to specify whcih number you want? or just it just randomly assign you one in the area code/exchange that you select?

Actually, you should be able to delete that folder logged in with your current acocunt as long as the process associated with MJ are not running. Kill all MJ processes in task manager and then see if you can delete the folder.

Are you saying the folder on the MJ itself or the profile folders (i.e. c:\documents and settings\{username}\application data\...? If the latter, try rebooting into Safe Mode with the MJ disconnected and see if you can delete them then.

If the former...I have no idea what to do.

Thsi is a good point. I use a TC so poer consumption is really not an issue. For those of you using a regaulr desktop/laptop, this may save you a few $$$ a year.

$250 seems like a decent price, but its overkill for a NAS. You can easily run FreeNAS on a 5700 or 5710.

My main conideration here was the gigabit. I guess I could just get the expansion module for the 5700 and put the gigabit card in it.

This seems to be only happening to mee if I call my house number from a house phone (to check VM). I called the house # from my cell and it rang 6 times and did go to VM.

Well...I spoke too soon. RDC starting screwing up MJ again so I just moved to RemotelyAnywhere. I know it has a bigger footprint than other RA software, but I am familiar with it and it has always worked 100% for me. :)

Unfortunately...Yes. However, I have seen some posts from users that say they do get the stutter tone (this is what triggers the flahsing light on the phone). I remember that the one person had DECT 6.0 phones so that may be a factor.

OK...ignore this post. I should have tried this first. I was using an old corded phone for purposes of testing the MJ so I didn't have to take my Vonage phone offline (quality cordless phones). I unplugged the corded phone from teh MJ and plugged in my cordless. No more hum!
