I was just about to post about just this... I'm curious. But can't say that I've found out anything about this PCPhoneSoft plugin anywhere.

Anybody tried it yet?

Real funny... it got posted up at my old review here about MagicJack on my blog and just decided it was spam.

Glad to see I was right... still odd.

Sorry it wasn't helpful. I just call my mother using MagicJack to avoid her using her phone and causing a bill. So I talk from a bit of experience in regards to that.

Then call her. The fact that there are no Canadian numbers is quite easy to find out. Heck, I'm in the US and they don't have a number near to my area code either yet.

You never defined "hassle"... but since you have stated that you use dial-up and not some form of broadband (DSL, Cable, FIOS) then you'd definitely not be the target audience for MagicJack.

And for the second time in my life ever, I've filled out a complaint to the BBB. I truly wish I didn't have to; but that's what is in place when your grievances go unanswered for 4 weeks.

Until recently, I've never had a true problem with my MagicJack either... and I'm a user from July 2007. I had one faulty one, they replaced it promptly, and I've been a frequent user of it... so no issues really.

The problems though, is when something minor goes wrong, the support just really isn ...

Finally resolved. No e-mails to Dan Borislaw were ever answered. I had to talk to 12 different live chat people, even went so far to tell one of the people what they should do... remove the duplicate, move the balance, and be done with it.

And that's exactly what they finally had to do.

This is still ongoing. January 3rd, two e-mails to Dan Borislaw, and finally one person saw that my account stated that I had two phone numbers - the very same number - and yet it's still not resolved from December 6th.

Hard group. Man just wanted some commiseration. I can't exactly concur though... I've gone almost my first 10 months with one and the only incident I've had is that one adapter that decided to stop working. MJ promptly replaced it.

I've answered this one in the past... I used to have a Win2k3 Server set up locally to me, but I wiped it clean and put Vista on it... like a dummy.
