I make a call. Person on the other end can hear me fine but, I can't hear them at all and I can't even hear their phone ringing. Recommend Fix please ? Thanks

Vista machine keeps hanging up. Event viewer gives error 0x80041003. Forums say this is SP1 problem.Wanted to use wireshark to monitor net traffic when event occurs.
