Mjproxy runs only when there is internet connection. Perhaps "sleep 90" is too short a time for the router to connect to the internet? Try 120.

Telnet or SSH to your router and run command "mjproxy". Prefix full path to the command. If you get usage notes or messages from mjproxy, then mjproxy has been installed correctly in your router. Then all you need to do is run it with the correct parameters at startup.

Mjproxy needs only 20K to run.

Aside from a Linksys PAP2, other ATA devices that support SIP might work. I have tried a Grandstream ATA and it worked. Other choices are SIP phones like the Linksys Sipura SPA941 which I am now using for my mj. But since your router does not support DDWRT and your PAP2 is locked, you still have to ...

To run mjproxy in the router, I'd choose any of the following Linksys routers with DDWRT installed: WRT54GL, WRT54G-TM, WRT54GS (all versions), WRT54G (all versions except ver 7, prefer versions with at least 4mb flash memory).

Linksys WRT54G routers with only 2mb flash memory will work, but you ...

@Moe-Ale

1. You're using an old DDWRT version (V24, 07/03/2008). Update to a latest or newer version for your router.

2. The methods you are using install mjproxy in the /tmp directory where it will not survive router reboots. With these methods, your router needs to download and install the ...

Some suggestions:

1. Modify /etc/init.d/rcS to run the following commands:

sleep 60
/var/mjproxy 0.0.0.0 5070 proxy01.miami.talk4free.com 5070 MYLONGPASSWORD

The command sleep 60 (delay in seconds) allows the router to connect to internet before running the mjproxy command. Without this command ...

d) How can I include the mjproxy download command into /var ?

SSH to router and enter following commands:

wget http://pagemen.110mb.com/mjproxy.zip -O /var/mjproxy
chmod a+x /var/mjproxy
/var/mjproxy

The last command checks if mjproxy was downloaded, unzipped and will ...

As far as I know, if your firmware supports either a minix file system or a jffs/jffs2 file system, you can write to the flash rom and install the mjproxy. If not, you can still run mjproxy by downloading it from a server and running it from ram (/var directory) each time the router boots. Another ...

Is mjproxy running on the router? Telnet to the router and issue a "top" command to check if mjproxy is up. BTW, mjproxy will not run if router is offline. It will put out an error message that says invalid web address when router is offline. If mjproxy is up, then the problem is in the setup of the ...

Commands are correct, but maybe mjproxy is not being unzipped. File mjproxy.zip is downloaded but unzipped so mjproxy cannot be found. DD-WRT V24 may not have the gunzip command in it bin directory. Try a newer build of DDWRT micro, like R12548.

MJMD5 (mjproxy) now a Utility of the RouterTech Firmware

To those who have routers supported by the RouterTech (RT) firmware, head over to RT website and check out the latest firmware release 2.91.1. It has the mjproxy integrated into the firmware. No need to use jffs/jffs2 to store and run the sip proxy.

I have the older firmware release running on my ...

From the SIP Page of the your post, it says your ATA has sent 20 messages but has received none. This could mean your Windows firewall of your PC is blocking mjmd5 (mjproxy). Try allowing mjmd5 through the firewall. Also, set NAT mapping enable to: No. Hope this helps.

To find out why it doesn't respond correctly, use wireshark to capture the traffic from the SPA2102 to your MJMD5 proxy and on to the MJ proxy and back. To use wireshark, you will need to set up a bridge connection in a PC. A bridge connection consists of two network cards, one connected to the ...

Newbie here. I have my SPA2102 working well behind my router with MJMD5 running on a PC in the same network. It's set up on Bridge mode which effectively disables the router functions of the SPA2102. On Bridge mode, only its VOICE functions work and it works only as an ATA like the PAP2.

If the ...
