I've been using ooma now for around 5 months and have been very happy with the investment. If you make a lot of outgoing calls they have a limit of 3000 minutes but unlimited incoming. So maybe linking it to a GV account would solve that problem.

As far as I know, ooma is not available in Canada or for calling Canada. So it's worthless for me.

I was in Mexico last month with my MJ and it worked fine both incoming and outgoing. Maybe the ISP is blocking the ports or VOIP traffic.

I check these forums almost every day. I use both MJ and ooma and I have to say that ooma outperforms MJ in every way except price. I use the MJ for trips and such and keep my ooma as my home phone system.

I believe that the TC uses the flash as a read only which I don't think affects the life of the card. Only if you write to it does it affect the life of the unit. I do it just because no particular reason. I was running antivirus but loaded the xp image from this site and now it runs smoother. My thinking behind it is if the TC gets a virus or any or malware each night it will be gone.

Same here but I run it on a TC and I have it set to reboot every night. If they sent an update it would have reverted back to the day before. It seems to be working again on my end as well so maybe it was one of the famous MJ glitches lol.

Weird I made a call and it was working fine. I restarted the TC and now when I make a call I don't here the ring. It seems to be connecting fine and making phone calls but not ringing for outgoing calls.

How are you connecting to the TC? Do you use a remote pc program or do you have a monitor hooked up to it? If you are using Remote Desktop Connection make sure you leave the audio on the TC. It is in the setup of the Remote Desktop Connection.
