Hi sd73,

Maybe look into a plug in outlet timer. I use them to turn my lights on and off when I'm away to make it look like someone is home.

You can pick one up for a few bucks.

Hi,

In 'Device Manager', under 'Audio inputs and outputs', should there be 2 instances of 'Handset (USB Internet Phone by TigerJet)'?

Magic Jack Go - Yes or No?

Hi MJ Forum:

I have an old, 4.1 type magic jack (the old see-thru dongle). It still seems to work well enough.

Since the dongle MUST be connected to the computer at all times, I've grown accustomed to using the magic jack GUI for recent calls and contacts and I use that GUI often.

Hi All,

I have a 512/512 T5700, Win XPe SP2 w/IE 6.

MJ version: 4.1 (the old silver see-thru type)

Q. Will MJ work in the above environment?

Q. Will the fact that IE 6 is involved cause any hiccups?

I really wish manufacturers would start putting out residential wireless routers with more than 4 Ethernet ports on them.
Buy and inexpensive Hub or Switch to easily add more ports to your existing router.

Hi Henry 180,
You must disconnect the house phone lines from the external tel-co connection or you run the risk of 'bricking' the Magic Jack (MJ) unit.
If you are using non-powered phones, you may need a USB hub to give the MJ unit enough power to ring all of your phones.
