Yes, Apple is limited with user access but they are good. I was able to find the Mac address to the mj plus and assign it, it's own ip number and include it with my wifi setup at home and it was simple.

Guess I'm an Mac nut but they work well.

Having the orginal USB MJ for 4 years and now the Plus for 1 year and I must say, I never had a problem. The USB is connected and it would update on its own. I register a new Plus and moved over my old usb MJ number and notice that the plus does not have a 911 icon on the dial pad on the screen (Mac)

Is 911 supported on the plus ? want to make sure before I make it a stand alone setup.

Lower the send and receive speed to 9600 or 4800. Mine works fine at 9600.

I had the same problem once,
I had to uninstall all the audio drivers, and once I rebooted, the system reinstalled them and it started to work.

I recently subscribe to skype unlimited local calls, well, really 10,000 min a month limit but still good. Anyway, I'm trying it because MJ audio keeps dropping on me after talking for about 5 to 10 minutes.

With Skype, it hasn't happen yet. $2.00 a month, is $24 a year, just for outgoing calls ...

How did MJ get these phone numbers? A Las Vegas number is an Ymax landline (based on 411 info). That's expected. But, mine (IL) comes up as a T-mobile cell phone number. Another (NY) comes up as a Verizon landline ...

I use a USB headset on my for gaming purposes.

If I get a Magicjack, and plug a phone in will it ring the phone and not my USB headet, for example if Im playing cod4 online and a phone call comes in, it will ring the phone and not my gaming headset.

I know MJ will not work with the computer in sleep mode but will it work if the machine is powered up with the disk drive powered down?

Mine is setup to turn off the monitor and hard drive after 10 minutes of the computer not being used. Almost 4 month now and it works great.
