I emailed dan borislow the inventor of magicjack and he told me there is no eta on the number porting but hopefully sometime in 2009.

I was talking to the tech chat on the magicjack website and the person on there told me after january 1st, 2009 sometime for number porting and it will cost $10 to port your number.

I have had magic jack for a few days now and the call quality is good and I will be getting rid of vonage for sure. Also just as a side not for the first comment on here there is a great program on download.com called "magicblock" that I downloaded and it stop the magicjack thing from popping up so ...
