Alright lazerjobs.... what I MEANT to say is that until NOW it hasn't been connected to the intetnet. Obviously it has to be connected to the internet to use magicjack, but the problem is with it LOADING the program.

This is my dad's laptop that he doesn't connect to the internet, therfore doesn't get updates. This laptop is roughly 4 years old. I'm not sure if SP1 or SP2 was installed on it. Since it wasn't working properly I thought that updating it would help.

When I plug in the magic jack, the pop-up of the magicjack shows up saying that it is starting, then a load bar pops up saying that it is starting. When it gets to about 80% it stops and doesn't progress. I have used this magicjack on computers running XP pro and vista. I have XP home edition with ...

Can someone help me get magicjack working on my laptop!? I have a Dell XPS laptop with home edition on it. As far as I know, MJ doesn't work with home edition. Is there a patch or way to get around this?
