stroths,
Thanks for the ideas, but neither of those items are my problem. I installed originally and upgrade using my own login. But good information to have - maybe that will help others.

Every restart results in "Lucky You - Upgrade"
Every time I restart magicJack I get the darn upgrade sequence, like it does not KNOW / Remember that it has already upgraded on a previous start of magicJack. What's up with that? Any solution.

Problem resolved - more or less.
The only way I could resolve this was to disable my sound card.
The headset becomes #1 and is retained across switching back and forth from tele to head.
I am going to write a script to disable/enable the sound card as required.

Similar problem when I first started using MJ
Just a thought. I had a similar problem with MJ constantly shutting down (the software that is) and restarting - often complaining about the USB port.
I found a post here that stated that some PCs USB ports cannot handle the power requirements of the MJ Dongle. (who came up with that?)
Note: I ...

Headset Settings Lost when Switch Back to Telephone.
I have a USB Logitech Wireless Headset. When I switch to the headset, I must "always" go into the Menu Set Volume Control and reset the MagicJack Headset option to use the actual headset device - it always defaults and resets to my Sound Card. It is frustrating to have to do this and makes it nearly ...
