Connecting an answering machine to MJ.
I have a GE 5.8MHZ wireless phone/answering machine and it doesn't pick-up. It also doesn't ring. Only the Panasonic 5.8MHZ wireless phones ring, I have 4 of them, none of the other 5 phones in my house ring including a non-powered non-wireless phone and a fax machine. MJ phone does not ring.
I have had this problem. I did have to change my pc to a different slightly faster pc that helped but only with certain model phones (Panasonic). The Panasonic phones are the only phones in my house that ring. But I have 4 of them all located in various parts of the house, 5 other don't ring ...

Best phone to use.
I have all the phones in my house connected to MJ. But only the Panasonic wireless phones ring. I have 4 of the Panasonic wireless phones they are all different models but all 5.8MHZ. None of the other phones (5) ring but 4 is enough for me since I have placed them in various locations in the house ...

Plugging MJ into the existing phone wiring.
With one phone connected to my MJ it works fine I then connected two phones to the MJ through a splitter (Y connector) and they both worked fine. As soon as I connected all the phones in my house through the house wiring only one phone rings the closest phone to the MJ.
