Tried the wired and cordless. It seems like with the cordless the problem is more frequent. But it also occurs with the wired phone but rarely.
Tried also a new VTech out-of-the-box, but have same issue. do you think it may be a setup in the ATA? Any ideas/suggestions?

steve_togo thanks for trying to help on this. I think like I posted before that MJ changed something in the dongles. I can get password and id but when I try putting them into a known working config (same as my old MJ dongle) changing that data and proxy I can't connect. I have three new ones here ...

br:0 10.10.1.10 br:0 is ur LAN interface and ur ip should not be 10.10.1.10 as ur dhcp starts at 100 so go for a number above 100 it will start working.

Did you buy the asus locally? Is it the most powerful wireless and 4 ports + usb (my eth port on main computer is broke)? I am waiting for a recommendation. I never seem to have a list handy when looking in store.

I'm pretty sure this is going to come down to specific ATAs and how they implement certain parts of the SIP protocol. You might get lucky and get an ATA that works, but seems more common that they won't unless you implement the changes that I stated. Do you have a windows computer that you can test ...

I am guessing 0.0.0.0 5070 means any IP's can connect on that port. So, *I think* if you were to change that 192.168.1.20 5070 (LANip) or 25.65.84.12 5070(WANip) then only these particular IP's would be able to connect on port 5070. I can be 100% wrong but this is my guess as of now. Please correct ...
