is there any way to spoof with the executable any more and not perl script?? I did a wireshark capture and it seems that the RTP voice packets are coming over
vms1.denver.talk4free.com while the call set up it's self is going over proxy1.denver.talk4free.com for me. So I can spoof calls out, but ...

hrmm, I can get it to call out with the NEW spoofer, but I can not hear the party and they can not hear me :/ RTP packets are lost. I'm gonna try w/o a router later, but I don't think the router is the problem

I just restored my 2 laptops and redownloaded calleridspoof.exe and re-edited my hosts files, but magicjack refuses to use the spoof proxy and continues to call directly, even tho the host file is edited... freaky.

well i just restored a bunch of stuff from my recyclebin for the application data\mjusbwhatever folder, now the mj is working (phew...) =)

Well I must be cursed.. I tired 'uninstalling' (cleaning up registry, formatting the USB CD-rom, etc..) now I've lost the magicjack software completely, I plug the magicjack in and nothing happens, and the folder for the drive is empty... gr...

Well hell, now I'm getting error 3 trying to connect, I cleared my host file to let it connect directly, still getting error 3

well since my old device was version 1 and this device is version 3, I didn't have to uninstall to get the right serial #, thanks so much!

So far I've checked device manager, tried pmdump, looked in regedit but don't know where I should be looking and tried tech chat supports 'magic jack recovery tool' but the setup doesn't say WHERE it installs it's self and when I run the setup it says 'DEVICE NOT FOUND!!!' even tho the MJ is plugged ...

All the ways mentioned to obtain the serial # in the walk-thru have failed me on this new device I just got in the mail (device manager, pmdump, regedit(as I don't know SPECIFIC address)). Why don't you try putting ALL of them in your host file? And in the spoofer, just enter the dns address of any proxy server closest to you. Let us know how it goes.

Spoofer worked fine first time around, for a few days...
It stopped working, and now I have tried every conceivable restart order, Host file editing, etc,: no spoofing.
Running MJ on a Windows 2003 Server.

Anyone had this happen, and successfully got it to work again ?

If you're getting this error and you run the caller ID spoofer, it seems that you have to edit the proxy out of the hosts list, restart MJ, let it connect, then RE-EDIT your host list to get the spoofer to work after MJ connects, I think they did a software update to stop people from spoofing or ...

Part of paying only $20 a year for unlimited north american calling is you don't get all those amenities. Vonage has that type of customer service, but it is $30 a month for the same service that MJ offers. That is part of their business plan.

Today magicjack client wanted to use a DIFFERENT proxy server and my spoofing stopped working, is there anyway to get a list of proxy servers so the caller ID spoofing program always works no matter which proxy the client trys to use?

I'm getting the same error on the same old USB port I've always used.. p***ing me off tonight, outsourced indian tech support is not helping 'uhh may I be knowing is the system clock correct?' 'yes you [expletive deleted], now tell me how to fix my problem!'

Maybe it's just me, but with them updating the lock down process every month on these devices, why don't they just add a f*ing resistor to the circuit board before shipping them out..
