Virtual LAN is a LAN spreading across the public internet via VPN. For example, I could use VPN to connect from home (via public internet) to my WORK LAN. So technically I'm in a virtual LAN.

This is not correct. A VPN is a Virtual Private Network or a means of tying a remote device into a LAN ...

It is fiber to a VRAD and then copper from there to the home. I believe the wire length limit is around 3500 Ft.

I noticed you are all about wireless. You realize there is additional equipment required for wireless transmission which I believe would result in an increased price. They still need to ...

If you *don't* have any proxy entries in your hosts file (and are not running the spoofer), then MJ will do a DNS lookup for the proxy. Clear your DNS cache ipconfig /flushdns start MJ, when it shows 'ready to call', type ipconfig /displaydns and look for the proxy entry.

What operating system are you running? Service pack level, .net patches, etc...

Unless you are using the hosts file for other networking, the only thing that should be unremarked is the 127.0.0.1 locahost and the 127.0.0.1 "magicjack proxy address".

Win XP Pro SP2, all patches.
