It's not necessary how physically how close you are but how the calls are routed. Do a trace route and find the proxy that gives you the best results (hops, pings, etc.)

I have to admit that I did this really fast so I'm not sure if it's really done properly but it does work. I have two MJ's running off of one ip address. Possible to run MJM5.exe on a remote server over the web
Hi,
I'm able to setup my xlite softphone when I run MJM5.exe on a computer on my internal network.
Instead of leaving that computer on all the time is it possible to run MJM5.exe on a remote server that's running 24/7. It's a server that I host at a co-location.

There are 416 area codes available for Toronto
Though it was reported that there were no 416 area codes I took a chance and bought another MJ with hopes that they would be added at a future date. If they weren't I'd eventually take a 647.

That's it for me boys
My final MJ just got blacklisted yesterday which means none of my MJ's will work through an ATA. Now my both my MJ's will be sent to the farm team only to be used on the rare occasion that I feel sentimental about the good old days.
It's been a slice.

Does anyone know the MJ SIP to SIP syntax.
Hi,
Does anyone know the syntax for making VOIP to VOIP calls.
It's something like "
"your phone number"@proxy.talk4free.com
or
"USER-ID"@talk4free.com
Thanks for your help.

After update the MJ softphone phone works without the dongle
After updating my MagicJack this morning and not having my ATA work I tested it with the MJ softphone phone to see if that worked without the dongle. MJ softphone does work but Xlite doesn't. This leads me to believe that at least it's not hardware related.

Hey everyone,
For those of you that are about to setup a new MJ account you may want to do a bit of research.

Looking for external dialing program for softphone.
Hi,
I've just bought my second Magicjack and plan to use in on the road with my laptop.
Since I find the Magicjack adapter (and need to carry a phone) to be bulky, I've been using softphone with all the Magicjack programs running locally off my hard drive. So far it's been great.
