I messed around with Wireshark yesterday. There's lots of activity. I set it to start logging right before I plug the unit into the usb slot so I captured everything it did. I have no idea what all of this means though, heh.

I found the user you were talking about - OurRCspace . It does look like he has a similar problem. Still looking over the thread and seeing if anything will help in my case.

Did that yesterday. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I got the confirmation email and now I can log onto my.magicjack.com. It looks as though I can get to everything just fine with my connection and with IE, but the magic jack software itself just won't recognize this.

Well, I was able to use the register url in IE and got the registration page to load fine. I'm not sure if I should have, but I went ahead and filled in all the steps on the 3 or 4 pages and registered. According to the page it all went fine. So now i'm 'registered', but the magicjack app still says ...

Sadly this is the only chance at high speed out here, unless I went with Satellite, which I know is much worse.

Three different computers, two desktops and a laptop. XP with SP2 on all three. Internet is through Alltel EVDO, wireless card. No router. Tried disabling any firewalls, antivirus, popup blockers, etc and get same results.
