MJ and USB3 port

is there anyone who has plugged their MJ into a USB3 port???

When I plug it into a USB3 port, the computer detects it and it boots up but it does so starting MagicTALK - which is what runs if u try to run it without the MJ plugged in.

Don't know if it is a MJ driver issue or a USB3 driver issue ...

W7 and MJ conflict with MJ "CD" drive

When I plug my MJ into any one of three of my W7 x64 Ultimate machines the CD drive is "corrupted" and cannot be accessed. When I plug it into my XP machine everything is fine and I can read it via windows explorer.

What is the issue? Chat level 3 has no clue.

The limit is 4 ringer equivalence.
Each phone has that listed on it. In the case of cordless phones it is on the base unit that plugs in.

The wiring doesn't make much difference unless it is defective or still plugged into the outside line box.

OK, I connected MJ to my LP on which I just installed W7.
No problems

Something on my DT is causing this issue.

I deleted a lot of FF addons -- no chg
I set IE as default instead of FF. -- no chg

I installed FF on the LT and it still works.

OK, if it needs the browser then it probably is using the DEFAULT browser as I have IE installed on the DT along with FF (default) and the LT does not have FF. So I guess MJ is having an issue with FF or I have an addon that is messing it up.

I have installed the MJ on my laptop and Firefox is not yet loaded as I just reinstalled W7 on it.

It does not generate the error on the laptop.

ever since an auto update occurred a couple weeks ago I have been getting an error stating that there is a script error "DOCUMENT.IMAGES.IMG1" is null or not an object

MJ dongles have a serial number. That number is "activated" and can be "deactivated" by MJ. They don't need the unit back. It would caost them more to fix than make a new one. I have one that I never returned and when I plugged it in 2 yrs later it just said it was deactivated.

it specifically states that it is for a MAC or OS system but it worked on my windows and others have used it also with success.
I questioned the TNS person three times and she assured me it was good.

they told me - finally - that I had a bad MJ.

Not that I am convinced.
I rcvd a new one only to be presented with a new issue - I can't transfer my existing MJ number to the new hardware - and they charged me full price for the replacement MJ - will I ever see a refund is the next upcoming issue.

I used the black/yellow wires to route the voip service to phones in the hose before I dropped my land line.

i had an issue where if I killed the autorun process MJ would start.

I think installing the MAC update solved that problem, but I can't remember exactly because I think it solved about 3 problems

the unit works with computer audio.

If u have a BT adapter with the proper S/W u can connect the audio to a BT headset -- ergo the MJ audio.

If u have a wireless handset U must have the base plugged into something for it to work - the MJ connector provides this function.

answer - setting your firewall to make MJ a trusted app doesn't work
You must set the rules to allow ALL (all ports) outbound TCP and ALL (all ports and in/out) UDP traffic for MJ.
worked for me. using XP SP2 and outpost firewall with router - no changes were made to router.
