There is absolutely no reason to use MJ for international calls and I was not happy with GV( for international calls ) either.
Localphone.com is excellent, and you can purchase minutes with just 1 $.- .
BTW I often use with MJ my regular long distance company, Telna ( you have to sign up your MJ ...

It works for both incoming and outgoing calls. You can choose to have incoming calls forwarded to either the dongle or your mobile app.

Where/ how do you make that selection ?

I own a third gen Itouch.

FYI: Out going call reports wrong caller ID information.

Yes the phone hub is near the router ....so I will try moving it ...hopefully that is it. Everything else suggested to be checked out I have checked and everything is set up properly. Hi all ...I just got magicjack ....have it hooked up to a Mac. All works well with a regular landline phone. But I want to use it with a Panasonic 2.4ghz cordless phone. So far it will not work. Already spent time with Magicjack support, downloaded new software etc. ...it still does not work ...

I have enjoyed many of your posts over the last few months. That said, you seem to go out of your way to be argumentative on occasion. This is such an occasion. The OP says that "Part of the problem" is multiple configurations. He didn't claim advanced degrees or experience in the field ...

I didn't time it but the outgoing call lasted more than an hour.

Uniden DECT2085 works great with caller id.
